Here’s one thing I want you to remember this year:
Don’t choose the tool first. Choose the learning objective first.
Then decide:
Pencil?
Keyboard?
Technology?
AI?
Just because students can complete something digitally doesn’t always mean they should. Different tasks place different demands on the learner.
Sometimes technology will absolutely be the right choice.
Other times, handing students a piece of paper and asking them to write, think, organize, plan, or explain may be the better instructional decision.
Bring Back Paper & Pencil isn’t about going backward.
It’s about being more intentional as we move forward. ✏️
