FREE Writing Lessons: Sometimes You Just Need to Press Play!
Want more support during your writing block without adding more to your lesson-planning plate? Our teacher-led writing videos can help.
Teaching writing takes energy. You’re introducing a skill, showing students what it looks like, helping them practice, and making sure everyone gets time to write. What if you could get an extra teacher in the room for part of that process?
That’s the idea behind Top Score Writing’s teacher-led writing videos. You can play a lesson for your class while Lisa Collum and the Top Score Writing team walk students through the instruction, just as they would during an in-person model lesson.
What happens during a teacher-led writing lesson?
These videos do more than explain a concept. They demonstrate the teaching process so students can see a skill, practice it with guidance, and then apply it on their own.
More time to support the students who need you
While the video models the lesson, you have more flexibility to circulate, check students’ understanding, answer questions, and provide individual support. Instead of spending every minute leading from the front of the classroom, you can spend more time alongside your students.
And yes, students still do the writing themselves. The video supports the instruction, but the real learning happens as children think, practice, and write using paper and pencil.
